Top Platformer Games on iOS Show Varied Trends in Q1 2021 in the UK

The first quarter of 2021 has been an eventful period for platformer games on the iOS platform in the United Kingdom. Sensor Tower has provided a comprehensive look at how the top games in this category have fared, focusing on downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

High Heels!, published by Zynga Inc., saw a significant increase in downloads, starting at 5 in early January and soaring to 140K+ in mid-February before settling to around 43K by the end of March. Weekly active users followed a similar upward trajectory, peaking at 453K in the last week of March. Revenue began to be generated in late January, hitting a high of $410 in late February and then leveling out to $375 by the end of March.

Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!, from the UK's own King, had an explosive launch week with 780K+ downloads and a weekly active user count close to 748K. The following week saw a natural dip, but the game still managed to bring in 176K downloads and increase its active users to 827K. Revenue for the game was impressive, with over $20K in its debut week, slightly decreasing to $19K+ in the week after.

Zynga Inc.'s Blob Runner 3D experienced a surge in downloads from 1K to 118K+ in early February, but downloads gradually decreased to 22K by the end of March. Weekly active users peaked at 196K in early February and saw a steady decline to 74K in the final week of March. This game did not generate any revenue during the quarter.

Voodoo's Roof Rails showed a consistent decline in both downloads and active users throughout the quarter. Starting with nearly 80K downloads in mid-January, it fell to just over 10K by the end of March. Active users showed a similar downward trend, from 192K in mid-January to under 57K in the last week of March. Revenue also decreased from $240 in early January to $57 by March's end.

TapNation's Giant Rush! began the quarter with around 61K downloads in mid-January and saw a decrease to 16K+ by the end of March. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, dropping from 105K in mid-January to just over 43K by the end of March. Revenue experienced fluctuations but ended the quarter slightly up at $111 in the final week.
